Concept, Design and Progress Report

Project Goals

• Provide festival goers with a unique and immersive art experience.

• Integrate the concept of an art vending machine with the established carnival theme

• Exhibit and sell local art and art merchandise in an exciting way.

Driving Idea

A machine for displaying and selling art that is more of a theatrical production than a machine

and more of an experience than a simple transaction.

THE CONCEPT

•

A Three Eyed Mechanical Head that displays art in its eyes that is dispensed from its mouth once purchased.

Additional Notes

• Frame and support will be wood.• Foam adhered to chicken wire will be applied

to wooden frame and then painted to look like aged, rusty metal.

• CCC will likely be collaborating with ‘Cloudhaus’ on the eyes of the machine.

• Look and concept of art machine inspired by Easter Island Monoliths and ‘The Wizard’ from Wizard of OZ.
