Why a common interface?

• ensures equality of software resources

• improves work flow

• establishes a minimum standard of tools

• consistency between workstations

an Image

• A computer that is used as the model for all of the others in the college

• They are clones of the image computer

• The process of reformatting a computer to match the IMAGE computer

• Makes all of the computers the same
