Beat rock magazine questionnaire

Beat magazine is a concept for a new rock magazine aimed at males and females of the age groups 15-24 and 45-54. Please fill in the questionnaire to give me feedback on this for my AS media course,

thank you.

What are the strengths of this front cover? What are the weaknesses?

I’ll just leave constructive criticism on the right. Font choice:The font above ‘Beat’ looks like Hindi until further examinationThere also seem to be a variety of fonts which doesn’t seem appropriateI recommend choosing a different font and using it consistently

The page is very busy / crowded Colour choice / house style (not sure of

the technical term) is not the best. I don’t think green/red goes together very well.

What are the strengths of this contents page? What are the weaknesses

- Again, I don’t think red/green is an appropriate house style.

Too many pictures / crowded

This magazine is a monthly magazine on sale for £3.99. Would you be willing to pay this amount?

Yes

No

If not how much would you pay

£0.99

Do you think that women would like this product? Why?

I don’t like to generalise but if you insist: the house style seems to have a male-orientated target market..black/red, etc.

Do you think I have appealed to both the 15-24 and 45-54 year old age group? How?

15-24, type of music, age of artist, etc. etc.

What are the strengths of the double page spread?

What are the weaknesses?

I like the concept of the big picture bg Text is hard to read in places The green header seems appropriate

and sticks out like a sore thumb – perhaps black would look better imo or red

You tell people to follow Jo-em on social medias without giving his account details so people cannot do this. Either scrap it or add the details

‘beat.co.uk’ hard to read
