FAIR USETHE ABILITY TO USE A SMALL AMOUNT OF SOMEONE’S CREATIVE WORK WITHOUT PERMISSION, BUT ONLY IN CERTAIN WAYS
4 POINTS OF FAIR USE
1. YOU CAN ONLY USE A SMALL AMOUNT OF THE WORK
For example:Using a little bit of a
song in a mash-up (putting a whole bunch of songs together), not the whole song

2. YOU CANNOT MAKE MONEY OFF OF USING THE WORK
For example:Using a clip from a song in a student public service announcement about recycling (nonprofit use)
