Bangladesh is one of the worlds poorest countries. Thats why the
CSR activities is very much important of this country in different
areas.There are so many company or industries are present in the
country which contributes a lot of donation in different areas and
private bank is one of them and the contribution by commercial
banks to CSR activities is very significant in different areas such
as:health sector,education sector, disaster management, Sports,
Corporate Social Responsibility in Bangladesh:
warm clothes campaign, contribution in different construction
sector such as Mosque, Madrasa, school etc.
And we found that most of the bank gives more priority and
importance in education and health sector than the other sector.
These payments make up some 11 percent of GDP, a larger share than
in any other country in the world.

DBBL is the highest contributor in the country for the purpose
of social cause.
To meet the basic needs of poor people like food, clothing,
shelter, education and healthcare of the huge masses is a big
challenge for the government.
And to support the government to meet the basic needs is also a
big challenge of this bank.
The bank dreams of a country free from hunger and a society free
from vices.

contribution in social responsibility.

The Premier Bank since its inception in 1999 had adopted the
policy of contributing to the social cause.
In 2013, we contributed Taka 116.57 million.

IFIC Bank undertook a good number of programmed in the field of
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in order to address the needs
of common people for making a positive and meaningful contribution
to the society.
And in 2013 the IFIC Bank contributes a big donated Tk. 20.00
million to Prime Ministers Relief Fund for helping the victims of
Rana Plaza Tragedy under Banks CSR activities.

SIBL has been responding spontaneously to its social commitment.
As part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), welfare
activities of Social Islami Bank Limited (SIBL) are being carried
out mainly from (1) Profit Cash Waqf Fund (2) Compensation Fund (3)
Doubtful Income and (4) Zakat Fund.SIBL has contributed a sum of
total Tk.53.17million in the field of Health, Education, Disaster
Management (Family Rehabilitation), and Sports, Art& Culture,
Environment (Social Utility) & others during year 2013, which
are furnished hereunder:

One of the major strategic focuses of Bank Asia to attain
sustainability is giving back to the community where it operates
through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.Bank
Asias CSR expenditures have consistently grown in last couple of
years. In the year 2013 its CSR expenditures was Tk. 132.98
million, which was 91.48% higher than previous year. All the
donations made under CSR program had noble social cause.

Conclusion:
After analysis the contribution of CSR activities in different
private bank in Bangladesh now we said that it is very much
important or compulsory for every commercial bank as well as others
organization. If all the commercial institution or others
organization try to contribute in this sector then it will helps
develop our country or countrymen.
