• Sara Dhatu = Vishuddha tara Dhatu
• Sarata can be determined by – Quantity,Quality,Functions

What is the Importance of Sarata Examination ?
• Bala mana vishesha Jnyanartham = To understand the strength of each Dhatu or Tissue
• Strength can not be understood ,everytime by just looking outer body frame of the person

Importance of Saravan Dhatu
• In Healthy condition Sama Dhatu concept is there
• Sama Dhatu means Saravan Dhatu, Balanced condition of Dhatu
• Saravan Dhatu – Good Quality of Dhatus are responsible for Best product Oja ( Essence of all Dhatus )

Importance of Saravan Dhatu
• Saravan or Visshudha Dhatu is responsible for Best Immune system
• Vitiated Dosha van attack only on weaker tissues & not on Saravan or strong body tissues
• Vitiated Dosha + Weaker tissue = Disease • Dosha Dushya Samurchana Janito Vyadhi

Types of Dhatu Sarata ?
• Dhatu Sarata of each Dhatu like Rasa Sarata ,Rakta Sarata --- 7 Sarata +
• Sarva sar ( 1) +• Satva Sarata ( Strong Mind) • Total 9 Types of Sarata Examination • This is based on Guidelines given in Chharak
Samhita Vimansthana ,Chapter 8 ,verses 102 to 115

Types of Dhatu Sarata ?
• Three types of Sarata of Each Tissue • Uttam sarata = Best Quality Tissue • Madyam Sarata = Moderate Quality Tissue• Heena Sarata = Poor Quality Tissue
• In Ayurvedic Samhita – Asar word is used but in practice Asar i.e 0 % is rare .So better Heena sar diagnosis is better

Practical Utility of Dhatu Sarata
• If in the patient –Heena or Madyam sara Dhatus are found ,Vaidya must advice Tonics or Rasayan Kalpas to improve the quality of Tissue – So Immunity will increase
• Less chances of Illness • In spite of blaming Bacteria,Viruses,Fungi –
Efforts should be made to improve Immunity
