DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the complex learning needs of a young deafblind girl, a parent proposed using Philips’ LED technology to create a product for learning using colorful and engaging light sequences. LightAide They created a vibrant new teaching tool for children with various disabilities, reaching children in 22 states in the first year. Designers, teachers, therapists and parents share learnings from using light in a cognitive development process.

This is a huge population and the products currently on the market to aid in teaching and development are overpriced and poorly designed with little focus on the user.
