(St. Michael’s Diocesan College for Boys)

2007, Third year Psychological Science Student at UWA, Majoring in

Neuroscience, Cognition and Perception.

Previous Jobs: 1999-2004, Miscellaneous international volunteer work. 2005, worked for a

catering company in Cape Town, as well as at La Scala Restaurant in

Cavendish Square. 2006, worked at Mountain Designs, Claremont and

Freemantle

Sport: Tennis, boule, quad biking, sailing

Interests: Choral secular music, djembe drumming, travel, food, wine, art, piano,

developing countries, philosophy, philanthropy, and the great outdoors

Personality: Motivated, friendly, polite, neat, knowledgeable, charming and charismatic. I

spend the better part of my life eating out (and in) in pursuit of gastronomical

delights and culinary secrets. I have a particularly good eye for detail,

especially when it comes to presentation, and believe that good food cannot be

enjoyed without good service. I love to entertain, and am most capable of

extending this pleasure to a professional setting.

• The process involved using MS Word to create a cover page. I made use of a variety of the functions the product had to offer.

• The product is colourful, interesting and simple. The layout was is also simple and not too busy.

• The product resulted in a presentation that way easy to navigate through. It was more interactive than a traditional, linear presentation

• The final product was a very useful batting folder, which could be used by a substitute teacher. I enjoyed learning how to create a crossword.

• The process involved learning how to use formulas to calculate averages, totals etc.

• The final spreadsheet could calculate average marks, no. of assessments completed, days absent etc. Very Helpful!

5. Use Ctrl + Alt + Del only as a last- ditch measure, after you’ve exhausted all other possibilities.Be sure to remove any disks before you restart. (If a disk is left in the drive, you’ll probably get an error message when you restart.)

• The process involved learning how to edit and manipulate signs and symbols manually. It was great to learn how to produce fractions in Word.

• The final product demonstrated my ability to edit and format text and numbers in a variety of ways and styles.

Project Reflections

• Twitter is very easy to use. I signed up in no time at all, and was able to follow my Ed Tech teacher online immediately.

• The benefit of doing this, was that I had access to all the course links online. It also provided a means of staying up-to-date.
