Jump cut and blade effect were used throughout the thriller.

Effects that were used in our thriller opening- Jump cut- A jump cut is a transition between two shots which appears to "jump" due to

the way the shots are framed in relation to each other. Using a jump cut in our thriller gives it an edgy affect.

Background squares- Background squares is when an image splits up into multiple squares causing a fragmented effect. Background squares gave our thriller a disjointed and broken atmosphere.

Slow motion x 4 reserve- Slow motion reverse x 4 is when we put the clip in slow motion then we reverse it. We then x it by 4.

Intro flashes- Intro flashes are strobes of light that flash in front of the selected image.

Camcorder effect- The camcorder effect is an effect that highlights the camcorder, as though someone is filming is the shot. This gives the effect that someone is being watched.
