REASONING FOR SONG CHOICE Type of genre we and others

enjoyed most (got from questionnaire) this was electronic/dance/house/pop music.

Also target audience is 16-22 years and this genre fits in with what's most preferred with people of that age

We decided on this song as we both like and we felt that it would be enjoyable to make a music video to it.

Decided on a performance, that contained a narrative video as it was most preferred in our peer group, and therefore we can adjust the video.

REPRESENTATION We are representing youth culture

because: Young people are often

represented as being lazy and a negative part of society, especially in public – we are subverting this as our characters are being helpful.

We are representing women because:

Women are referred to as having a ‘glass ceiling’ and are not allowed to be strong and powerful – yet are character is a ‘superhero’.

BUDGET AND COSTUME Most of our budget will be spent on costume as we are using

natural, and local locations. Our budget is low and we will be using some of our own props for costume.

We already have black leggings, a black top and black shoes. We will need some casual clothes and pajamas, we already

have these.

LOCATION AND PROPS: A park - we are going to use Upminster park as it is local and practical. A house - we both live in houses so wither will be appropriate. A pavement, for pedestrians - We live in a town so we are going to use

local roads - for example Deyncourt Gardens. A bus - there a several bus routes that run around Upminster, such as 346,

248 and 370. We are going to use these bus routes to ensure that we use that location. Tesco, or a similar shopping centre - We will most probably have to ask

permission to use the store. A gym – we can use free weights etc in the house. An alley – there is an alley local to us near the station.

RISK ASSESSMENT We are making sure our filming goes to

plan by checking the following:

Risk What could happen

How we would overcome it

Bad weather, e.g. Rain.

The actor could fall over and hurt herself or it could ruin the setting and our character would get soaking wet.

Look at weather reports and make sure we don’t film on a day where it will rain.

Camera could break or run out of battery.

We would not be able to film and our work would be in late.

Make sure the camera is charged and turned on/working the day before.

Dark alleys or filming in the dark.

Something dangerous could happen to me or Yasmin or our actors for example we could get mugged.

Keep in an area that is well lit and carry phones on us at all times.

Filming scenes on the pavement could result in getting hit by a car.

If we do not pay attention to cars coming in and out of driveways or cars are passing on the road.

Watch for traffic at all times and only film when it’s safe to do so.

Our actor could let us down last minute.

Somebody could fall ill and not be able to be in our filming.

Yasmin would have to fill in last minute as our actor.
