Action with comedy movies nowadays are overwhelming. For example, Kingsmen The Secret

Service and Men In Black. Both stories are really amazing and also hilarious as both focuses on a

non-government agency which monitors on what is happening on Earth. The movie Kingsmen was

released in 29 January 2015. This is the first film for Kingsmen The Secret Service. Men In Black is a

sci-fi, comedy and also an action film. Men in black started in 1997 as the first (MiB) movie and now

there are 2 other sequels, totalling up to 3 series as compared to Kingsmen which does not have any

other sequels. The ratings for Kingsmen this year is higher than Men In Black. I will compare the

similarities and also the difference about Kingsmen and also Men In Black.

Men In Black had 3 series and all three series of these movies were played by Will Smith and

also Tommy Lee Jones. Both had work together since the first film at 1997. Barry Sonnenfield had

directed all the series of Men In Black. It was a successful series as the box office had earned $589.4

million for the first Men In Black film. The vast amount of differences throughout the years shows

that Men In Black got popular and the demand from fans increased by years. Thus, actors in the later

years were also given a higher salary as the movies were given a higher rating.

Kingsmen is the second action comedy movie which was directed by Matthew Vaughn. This

movie was starred by a few famous actors, Samuel L. Jackson and Mark Strong. This movie is a

success however, the movie earned slightly lesser than Men In Black and had earned $412.1 million

for the first Kingsmen film. This movie was released recently this year during January, it was also

distributed by 20th Century Fox.

The Men In Black series was also famous for their gadgets, cars and their flying jetpack,

Carbonizers, Cosmic Integrator, De-Atomizer, all these items are famous gadgets used in the series

of Men In Black. It is seen clearly as the technology of guns had improved throughout the series. In

the movie Kingsmen, they used normal guns which are for agents, they also have special gadgets,

example shoes with poison knife, lighter as grenade and many more. Although Kingsmen technology

is not as futuristic, both of these movies have used special gadgets.

The similarities for both of the movies is that the agents in both of the movies wear suits

when they are doing their job. Their storyline is also similar. It is shown as for Men In Black, Agent K

and his partner Agent D whom is older in age, used a neuralyser to erase his memory for his entire

life so that he can also live in a peaceful life. Agent K then found a replacement which is a cop is New

York Police Department (NYPD) called James Edwards, he then trained him and ask him to go for

training, Agent K then found out that he had a talent and fulfilled the criteria to be one of the

members in Men In Black. It is similar to Kingsmen as in Kingsmen, Agent Hart lost a partner which is

Galahad which he trained and Galahad is Eggsy father. Years later, when Eggsy was caught by the

police, he called the number on the back of the medal that Agent Hart gave him when he was young.

Agent Hart then ask him to join the secret service agency because of Lancelot’s death. Eggsy agrees

to apply as Hart’s candidate.

Men In black there is a pug in the movie which is called Frank. It assisted Agent J and K.

Frank by giving them information about the galaxy that Arquillians are going to attack Earth. Due to

Barry Sonnenfeld who enjoyed the dog’s performance in the first film, he appeared to be an

employee in (MIB) headquarters. He is then called Agent F and wears an MIB uniform and soon

becomes the nuisance to J. For Kingsmen, Eggsy had to choose a dog to be their partner throughout

the training, the pug has been Eggsy’s best friend since his training started. In the end of the training,

Arthur called Eggsy to shoot his dog to complete his training to become the Lancelot. However, he

didn’t shoot his dog and he failed it thinking that the gun was filled.

Men In Black and Kingsmen are both action-packed and funny movies. Most of the spy

movies have similar storylines. Fans for spy movies has been increasing through the years. In fact,

the spy movies has gotten stronger with heir gadgets and. A sequel for Kingsmen will be out soon. I

hope that the storyline will be interesting and will keep me on the edge of my seat.
