To change your professional headline

Move your cursor over Profile at the top of your homepage and select Edit Profile

Click the Pencil Edit icon to the left of your current professional headline, below your name at the top of the profile.

The text under your name on your profile is called your professional headline. Your headline is usually created when you add a new and current position to your profile. You can update your headline by editing your profile.

How do I change the information under my name on my profile?

Type in your changes.

Click Save.

Click Done editing

How do I change my location and industry on my profile?

Note: If your city name doesn't accurately appear as an option in the Location Name field, you can sometimes enter a different postal code from the same city to see if it appears as an option. This doesn't always work, but might be worth a try as a workaround. This change will only display the city name on your full profile. The regional name will still be displayed on your profile when it appears in search results. Members must click into your full profile to see the city name.

3 Choose a new country from the type-ahead menu if needed.

4 Type a new postal code. You'll then then see the name of the location that will be displayed in your profile.

5 Select an option from the Industry dropdown list.

6 Click Save

7 Click Done editing button in box at the top of your profile.

How do I edit the information in the Contact Info section on my profile?

You can click the Contact Info button located in the top section of your profile to see your Email, Phone number, IM, Address, Twitter handle, and listed websites.

How do I change the order of items in the Experience and Education sections of my profile?

You can change the order of your current positions and education entries on the Edit Profile page.

Note: You cannot rearrange the order of past positions. Those will always appear with the most recent position held showing first
