Q; How do the elements of your production work together to create a sense of branding?

Branding is when the idea or image is marketed so that it is recognizable by more and more people, identified with certain service or product, when they are many other companies offering the same service or product.

A film website is a website which is created to attract and inform the target audience about the film. it contains synopsis, cast and crew, pictures, posters, videos, trailers, and release date of the film.

Just like film websites, Film postcards are used for marketing, these are basically sent out to people to invite them to watch the product you created established at a film festival, they are presented as a card which consists of a movie poster venue and production house.

In Advanced portfolio we were asked to create a website as well as post card in order to market our film

Just like website of insidious chapter 2: I tried to have the combination of two colors in my website.

The colors used are and black which connotes the terror and black connotes darkness, which in other words is particular of horror (dark fantasy genre).

My website has two colors yellow which often connotes the children appeal charchter fitting perfectly with the plot of my film, and dark browns and black which again connotes horror. At the top theres a menue bar which navigates to all the pages. The background photo is the location/set picture of the film showing the candles and a dark room hance potarying a remote dark place. At the centre of the page there is my film title, “shadows” to showcase the idea of the film having a horror genre.

The video tab includes the short clips of the film, as well as some behind the scenes videos, so that audience could get to know how film was shot, and what happened on the sets of “shadows”.

Photos

This tab consists the photos of locations as well as the charcters and some of the props to build the interest of the audience.

About

Synopsis of the film is the main part of the website, As the target audience would be able to read out the plot of the film to get the basic idea about what the film is like.

Cast and crew

In this tab , I have added the pictures of the charcters to introduce them to the potential audience and wrote what parts they are playing in the film; so that audince could see who are the actors of the film, since protagonists and antagonist plays an important part in a particlarly movie, the film being successful can also be because of star power.

POSTCARD

The postcard of my film similar to the color theme of yellow and browns/blacks that connotes horror and dark, I ve included the pictures of the cast and crew so that more consumers are attracted towards my product after seeing the creativity involved in the characters as well as the location.

Furthermore, a postcard involves the date/time and the venue of the film festival , as well as the release date of the film for promoting the product

Therefore, the website and the post card adds a sense of branding to my product as through these more and more audience would be attracted towards the film as they consists pictures of the location and charcahters , information about the film and much more.
