back , so there is no pressure

on the f i lmmaker to make a

Cons –

They are unl ikely to provide

funding for a f i lm that

exp loits the counci l and the

issues sur rounding the area.

They wi l l not fund for a f i lm

that does not benef i t them.

Local councils offer funding and support for local filmmakers.
