ACT 1Opening Image 17 year-old girl, called Samantha, is

sleeping in a motel

Set-up It is 12am and the girl is woken up by a knock at the door and a mysterious, unnamed person gives the girl a box. She puts it on her bedside table; it starts to shake but she ignores it and goes to sleep.

Theme Started Box then wakes her up. Samantha opens the box and it reveals a compass. It then points to a direction.

Catalyst Samantha follows the directions of the arrow and goes to a locked door. she then goes to the window and jumps and gets caught in thorns. However, she doesn’t take notice of this as she is in a trance. She is also not wearing any shoes.

Debate The arrow then points to the ground and she has to dig a hole. She then finds a locked box and cannot find the key.

ACT 2Break into Two Under the box there is a message and

tells Sam (Samantha) to go into a casino; there is a man waiting for her.

B Story She is given another compass. She wants to know what is happening, but she then goes to the desert to find a large tree.

Promise of Premise She finds a man attached on the cactus, and she tries to help the man but the guy from the casino comes up from behind the girl and sees this; then curses her.

Midpoint There’s a change in Samantha’s attitude. To end the man’s (who is attatched onto the cactus) slow and painful death, she find the closest rock and slams it on his head and the man curses her as he dies.

Samantha takes no notice of this and looks up at the sky; following the moon to find a hut made of skulls.*she is hypnotised

Bad Guys Close A voice makes her touch the skull and lightning appears and it starts to rain heavily

All is Lost/Dark Night of the Soul Sam looks into a puddle and sees her reflection/different side of her and she is hit with a wave of realisation that there has been an evil spirit controlling her (hence why she killed the man previously).

ACT 3Break into Three She sees a crow and find out that she is

able to understand the language somehow. Sam is then found to be a reincarnation of Satan himself.

Finale She is the Queen of the Underworld and she wants to take over the world.

Final Image Sam goes back to the motel with bloodied feet and find the man from the casino in her room. He takes the blood from Sam’s feet and uses it to open the box she could not open earlier. The gates (box) of hell opens and the devils are unleashed.
