It is important you learn all this for the exams.

Arts and crafts:

Estudio español = I study spanish

You don’t need the ‘el’ or ‘la’ when you’re saying what you study.

Me gustan matemáticas - I like maths

I love: Me encantanI don’t like: No me gustan

only add the ‘n’ at the end for subjects that are plural. e.g. science las ciencias

No me gusta nada la informática - I don’t like ICT at all.

I love: Me encantaI like: Me gustaOdio: I hate

Voy al instituto en coche - I go to school by car

Tardo veinte minutos en llegar al instituto - It takes me twenty minutes to get to school.

Five minutes: Cinco minutosAn hour: una hora

Salgo de mi casa a las siete y media porque tengo que llegar al instituto antes de las ocho. - I leave my house at half past seven because I have to arrive at school before eight.

Llego a casa a las cuatro y cuarto después del instituto. - I get back home at quarter past four after school.

Las clases comienzan a las ocho - School starts at 8 o’clock.

Las clases terminan a las tres y cuarto - School ends at quarter past 3.

Cada clase dura una hora - Each lesson lasts one hour. Half an hour - media horacuarenta minutos - 40 minutesan hour and a half - una hora y media

El recreo es a las once - Break is at 11 o’clock Lunch break - El descanso para almorzar

Hacemos una hora de deberes por día - We do one hour of homework every day.

Nuestro uniforme es un jersey negro, pantalones negro y una camisa blanca.- Our uniform is a black jumper, black trousers and a white t-shirt.
