Why do we celebrate it?

On this day we remeamber 25. june 1991, when Slovenia formaly became

independent. On this day was accepted decleration about independence of

Slovenija.

Interesting facts

• Every year a ceremony is held on the eve of this holiday on Square of the Republic in Ljubljana

• Since we were closely connected to Croatia for many years, it is interesting for us that Croatia proclaimed their independace on this very day
