Comparative
A comparative adjective is used to compare two things. the comparative ending forma short, common adjectives, is generally "er". For most longer adjective, the comparative is made by adding the word "more“
Example:
Big Bigger
Comfortable More Confortable
If a 1 syllable adjective ends in "e", the endings are "r“
Example:Large Larger
If a 1 syllable adjective ends in "y" the endings are "er" but the "y" is sometimes changed to an "i“
Example:Dirty Dirtier
For most adjectives with two or more syllable, the comparative is formed by adding the word "more"

Beautiful More beautifulComplete More complete

Examples:
Kim is taller than Linda. (tall)
They work harder than you. (hard)
His house is bigger than hers. (big)
This exam was more difficult than the other

Fabiola is more beautiful than Ximena. (Beautiful)
Examples:
She comes here more often than ver husband.
(often)
she prettier than her mother. (pretty)
George is cleverer than Norman. (clevery)
He's simpler than I thought. (Simply)
