HOW DO YOU KNOW TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL?
Students are actively engaged
Students are able to transfer their knowledge at home and at school
Their self esteem has increased
Drop out rate has decreased
HOW CAN TECHNOLOGY BE INTEGRATED MEANINGFULLY? Teachers work within
the parameters of a technology framework and acceptable standards
Teachers are able to challenge their students, so that they will explore the content successfully
Technology can be used to differentiate instruction
Work stations can be set up in a classroom
Exceptional students can be included successfully with efficient teacher planning
Using tools that will enhance learning For example: Smartboards Digital projectors Flipcharts

CONCLUSION Integrating technology becomes critical
for middle school students
Technology should become an integral part of their curriculum
Students will achieve success in all spheres as their motivation to learn increases
