Finding your way to Blackboard via www.dmu.ac.uk

Click on My DMU

Arriving at the sign-on page

Enter your P number from your student ID card and password

(date of birth in the format : dd/mm/yy)

From MyDMU click on Blackboard on the centre

right of the page

On the main Library page click on Email, MyDMU &

Blackboard

your Browser’s address bar

From the Library page and from https://vle.dmu.ac.uk you will be

directed to the Single Sign-on page

From the welcome page, select your module

Questions tab Click on the back arrow of your browser to return to

your original page

The Ask tab takes you to Staff Information and gives you

contact details and availability

The Learn tab takes you to the materials for the

programme

Click on the folder you need

The Assess tab takes you to tests

Click on the folder you need

The Email tab allows you to send messages to programme staff and/or fellow students – click on the

relevant group or “Select Users” to send to individual(s)

Add a subject, your message and then click on submit
