Ownership

Celador’s history of ownership Celador was originally taken over by Complete Communications, which bought out shareholders such as Paul Smith CBE and Jasper Carrott Under the ownership of Complete, Celador expanded its fledgling radio, film and international businesses. Later, Complete Communications announced its intention to sell the company. Around the same time as the sell off of Celador International and the rights and associated properties of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? to Dutch group 2waytraffic, Celador Productions' management completed a buy out of the company, they are now a independent company.

Operating model

The company don’t keep a set group of staff, they hire out sectors and pay them to hire staff for the movie, their funds come from loans and personal finance to create the film, using freelancers to create these movies instead of wasting funds on people who aren’t involved constantly.

Celador has produced many different shows and movies, television shows including, All About Me, The Detectives and You Are What You Eat, and movies being The descent, Slumdog Millionaire and Selma.
