Step by Step Procedure

• In the Table of Contents, right click on feature file (i.e. shapefile) > Join or Relate.

• Select any Join Type:• Join from attribute table (Default)

• Join from another spatial location

• Chose the field from the current layer on which layer will be joined.

• Chose table or layer.

• Chose the field from table on which table will be joined.

• Select any Join Options:• Keep all records

• Keep only matching records

• OK

Validate the Join

Showing the warning from the table file, due to having round brackets () in the field name, that can cause

failure. But, it doesn’t gives any kind of error in joining.

To Remove and Counter check the Join

or Relate

To access the Join:

Just click open the Attribute table

Step by Step Procedure

• In the Table of Contents, right click on feature file (i.e. shapefile) > Join or Relate.

• Select any Join Type:• Join from another spatial location

• Chose the layer that will be joined (Target Layer).• Point

• Line

• Polygon

• Chose the options available for the joining.

• Save it in a new layer, name it.

• OK

1. Open Attribute Table from TOC

2. Go to Options

3. Go to Related table and Click

4. It will list the Relate of that layer

5. Click to Open
