NATURAL AND MAN-MADE ELEMENTS

• Natural elements have not been made by humans. Mountains, forests, rivers and plains are all natural elements. • Man–made elements have

been made by humans .

Why do landscapes change? 1.

NATURAL CHANGE• Change in seasons and in winter can be

covered with snow.• Rain and wind wear soil and rocks over a

long period of time, it is called erosion.• Natural disasters, floods and volcanoes

change the lanscapes.

Why do landscapes change ? 2.

MAN-MADE CHANGESHumans also change the landscapes.

• Farming. People cut down trees to make space to cultivate crops.

• Transport networks . We build airports, roads, railways and ports to connect towns, cities and countries.

• Construction. We build offices, flats, schools and factories.

• When do dicidius trees lose their leaves ?• Man-made elements are natural or human?• Can we see man – made elements in the landscapes ?
