Ogling, a Growing Menace of our Society Hey Man, juzz look at her, Awesome yaar" it was a friend of mine, while riding the bike at 3 AM in Islamabad passing through a markaz he sighted a lonely girl walking and passed these comments, " What are you talking about?" I replied, "That girl I am talking about in green dressing, she was looking awesome" I had a stare at him while turning my neck backwards and he was extremely excited" Come on, behave properly its not the right thing to do yaar, its not good to stare and then pass such lusty comments" My reply was a bit odd for him and he concluded while saying" Terray saath to kabhi maza he nahi ata baba jee he bana raha kar (I never enjoy your company, you always behave like an old person)". That’s the whole story. Now, let me clear a few things before we proceed with the discussion, I am not a saint, therefore sometimes I perform absurd acts intentionally or unintentionally, Staring at girls or ogling is turning out to be the most mean and cheap act on the part of us, the males I am talking about. It’s a catastrophe or whatever u might call it, but virtually it’s absurd. People from all age groups are involved in this mental atrocity and yet nobody points it out or pays attention towards this heinous act of discouragement and dishonor for females. I was thinking one day that when a female goes out and people are ogling at her, what she feels and how actually she copes up with that miserable condition. A few weeks a go one of my female friend told me that while she boarded the bus for Lahore a boy sitting right behind her seat started singing lusty songs and at last she had to speak to the bus hostess and changed her seat to avoid such situation. She seemed to be very miserable while telling me all that and her gestures were like she was feeling scared of me even though she considers me her fast friend. Strange, isn't it at one hand we don't like if somebody stares at our sisters, mothers, cousins and other female spouses but we couldn’t even keep ourselves restrained when it comes to some one else. Sheer unjust, it shows how non serious and brutal we are, what kind of generation would take birth from such scared and discouraged women. I was reading an article once in which the writer quotes that ''in a society when women are disrespected, humiliated, dishonored, chaos takes place and humanity just vanishes'' and it’s very true. We must make them feel very relieved and must give them proper respect and freedom. If we won’t then up coming generations will never remember us in good faith. The most irritating fact was when while taking a walk

Ogling, a Growing Menace of our Society

Hey Man, juzz look at her, Awesome yaar" it was a friend of mine, while riding the bike at 3 AM in Islamabad passing through a markaz he sighted a lonely girl walking and passed these comments, " What are you talking about?" I replied, "That girl I am talking about in green dressing, she was looking awesome" I had a stare at him while turning my neck backwards and he was extremely excited" Come on, behave properly its not the right thing to do yaar, its not good to stare and then pass such lusty comments" My reply was a bit odd for him and he concluded while saying" Terray saath to kabhi maza he nahi ata baba jee he bana raha kar (I never enjoy your company, you always behave like an old person)". That’s the whole story. Now, let me clear a few things before we proceed with the discussion, I am not a saint, therefore sometimes I perform absurd acts intentionally or unintentionally,

Staring at girls or ogling is turning out to be the most mean and cheap act on the part of us, the males I am talking about.

The most irritating fact was when while taking a walk in D-Ground I noticed a 50 years old uncle doing this heinous act, I bet he would be married and must be having daughters or maybe grand daughters, but yet he was acting just like an animal. We need to open our minds, we have to let people know that its not a good act at all and it might be very troublesome, recently I witnessed a street quarrel because of the same act where my cousin who has just returned back a few days a go from Saudi Arabia after offering pilgrimage forbade a group of teenagers not to stand in the chowk as he got wind of them cutting sentences on the females passing by and in reaction they started abusing him and beating while he dealt them with iron hands and ultimately there was only fuss left in the end.

On the streets in bazaars in malls, every where you can witness such cruel acts being performed, for God's sake stop this mental violence, let them live peacefully and allow them freedom. When the Creator doesn't make any distinction why shall we do so? Please THINK, think in a positive term and draw conclusions. On the other hand I would also like to request ladies for taking required measures while leaving the house, I am not a bigot but the dressing must not be inviting, I won’t ever coerce you to put that veil on but yet your dressing must not be exploiting. Please give a second thought to your choices and styles. Yet, we can make this society healthy and can remove all the suffocation, unjust distinctions and lack of communication among our masses. Thank you
