The 1963 Army-Navy American college football rivalry game was originally to be played on Nov 30th but because of President Kennedy’s assassination on November 22nd the game was rescheduled to Dec 7th . The match ended with the Army Quarterback, Rollie Stichweh’s touchdown in the fourth quarter of their 21-15 loss. This touchdown was remarkable for the announcer Lindsey Nelson stating to the television viewers, “Ladies and gentlemen, Army did not score again!”.

Why did he say this?

The death of one of its drivers at a circuit located in a city made famous by Claude Monet through a series of paintings prompted Honda to withdraw from F1 in 1968, to return as a racing team only in 2006. One of the oldest traditions in this game that has its origins in Scotland is that teams would collectively prop up the principal game equipment in a firewood-like pile as they would meet and discuss the competition in post-game analysis. This prophetic cartoon ( next slide ) was published in The Dominion Post a day prior to the Rugby World Cup final, on the 22 Oct 2011. The cartoon depicted a rugby fan having a recurring nightmare in which X (who in turn was filling in for the No. 1 and No.2 choices who were out with injuries) was injured in the final, forcing the much maligned Y onto the field to kick the goal that would determine who won or lost. When a knee injury forced X off before halftime, Y was brought and took over the kicking duties slotting home the penalty that gave the All Blacks the much awaited title.

Which was the first non-capital city to host the Asian Games?

This sculpture of a legend teaching a kid to drive can be found at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. The course itself was designed by him and plays host to a famous annual tournament that began in 1976 and honors past golfers. The legend himself was the honoree in 2000.
