A simple communication model / communication consists of transmitting information from one person to another (Einar Faanes)

composition / the rule of thirds is a guideline when you are compositing an image. The objective is to stop the subject(s) and areas of interest (such as the horizon) from bisecting the image, by placing them near one of the lines that

would divide the image into three equal columns and rows, ideally near the intersection of those lines.

focal point / (also called emphasis) is where the focus is concentrated through design principles or meaning. To do this one develops points of interest
