PHOTOGRAPH PLANNINGFRONT COVER, CONTENTS PAGE, DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD.

FRONT COVERThe main image for the front cover will be a female character, looking directly at the camera to engage with readers, however the scene will look natural and not staged. The environment will be outdoors in an area that looks quite urban and edgy. This will be a mid shot as I want the audience to be able to see the character and the background; her clothing and expressions etc. The costume that she is wearing will give an alternative look. For the other stories featured on the front cover, I will include an album cover for a band which fits the genre the magazine will promote as well as photos of a certain band in polaroid form.

CONTENTS PAGEI am going base my contents page on a style used by Q magazine as it looks organised and stylish. Mine will consist of two photographs; the main one will be an image of a male character with a guitar to represent the music element of the magazine. The costume will make the character look alternative consisting of an open checked shirt with a t-shirt and jeans, similar to the cover girl's clothes to create an identity. The other image will be a photograph taken by myself at a gig that relates to the album featured on the cover. The contents part will include 2 sections; regulars (things that would always appear in the magazine) and features (exclusives to that issue).

DOUBLE PAGE SPREADMy double page spread is going to link to the splash story on the cover so the images will feature the same character in the same clothes, however there will be different shots, angles and possibly different locations such as the woods to make it look mysterious and natural to create different views of the character. There will be one main image which will cover the entire left page; the text of the article will be on the right. There will be other images of album covers which will link to the article as they will be the artist's 'influences'.
