This quote/saying gives the audience somewhat an idea of what the film may be about. This almost gives a sneak peak into the storyline.

This poster is effective because from looking at it, it is evident that there are three main characters in the film. The fact that the poster portrays three individual faces implies that the story focuses on these characters in particular.

The dark colours are effective. The background in particular is mostly effective because it allows the image of the different faces stand out giving the message that they want the audience to mainly focus on them. This is an instant reaction, the black cancels out other colours to bring attention to the faces.

The main character is easy to identify from looking at this poster since they are placed in the centre. This may be a technique we might consider to use in our poster because it draws attention and the audience are informed on what the film may be about.

From this poster there are different features which we as a group may consider to use when creating and designing our film poster. Our initial idea was to have the main character placed in the center of the poster hence looking at this poster has helped provide other possible ideas.

The title of the film is bold and simple at the same time this is effective because it helps the audience focus more of their attention on the blown up image. The fact that the image consists of light colours allows the title of the film to stand out.

In terms of colour, there is not a lot of it. The main colour code is dark and shallow. Dark/murky colours usually portray death/mystery. Therefore from looking at this poster it is apparent to the audience that the film could potentially be based on death and mystery.

The picture of the lady takes up most of this poster. The crack on her face is effective because it indicates that this film focuses on her story and how she goes through a bad experience. This would be useful and effective to use as an idea for our movie poster because a lot of different views can be depicted from what the film is based around.

The colours used in this poster are quite minimal and dull. This is effective because it gives a sense of uninteresting and depression. This helps us get an understanding of what the film may involve or be based around.

Having the main character positioned on the poster lets the audience understand that the storyline is based around what happens to her. The fact that there are words around her could suggest that these are her feelings and keeps it within her self. These words also could imply that this is what builds up her character and who she is.

The title ‘Phobia’ fades towards the end. This is effective because it could suggest that leading towards the end of the film the main character is less scared and that her phobias disappear.
