Ci occupiamo di formazione linguistica da 15 anni e lo facciamo con passione, divertimento e grande professionalità e desideriamo offrire in forma gratuita piccoli spunti del nostro lavoro che crediamo possano essere apprezzati. E tu quanti “parents” hai? Your parents are only your mother and your father . Your relatives are your uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers, sisters, etc.

Terrific does not describe a negative situation.Terrific describes a wonderful exciting positive situation.

Ti ritieni “sensible”?
Italian students think it's used to describe an emotional person or somebody who is easily hurt. The correct use of sensible is to describe a very rational or reasonable person.
Example: “An emotional person is sensitive, a rational person is sensible”

“Capisco quindi pretendo”...!?Pretend does not mean to want something immediately like the italian word "pretendere"!The correct meaning of the word is to act as if something is true when in fact it is not!
Example: “The students pretended that they understood but in fact they did not!”

“Actually” guardo in tv un reality.Actually does not mean "now", as the italian word "attualmente". The word "actually" means:in reality, the truth is.
Example:“Are you actually going on holiday, are you really going on holiday?”

Ti senti “annoy” ma non ti annoi
It does not mean to bore, nor to do something which is not interesting.To annoy means to disturb or irritate.
Example: “I feel really annoyed when I can't find parking in the morning"

“To attend”: pazienza o interesse?Students often use this verb in the wrong way because they think it means "to wait". In fact this verb means "to take part" in something.
Example:“we attend a course, we attend a meeting, we attend a convention

Non fare “affair” con il tuo capo.If you say that you are having an affair with someone you are not saying that you are doing business with them you are saying that you having a love story, so you have to be very careful as it can lead to some very embarassing situations!
