Which languages do you want to practice?

At tab 1. Languages you will find the list of languages and the number of people offering or practicing them. You will also find resources and materials for each language to support you in your language exchange.

Can I see the people who are looking for exchanges?

Yes. At tab 2. Members, but you have to register on the website if you want to contact them.

What do I have to do to do and exchange?

First, to access the website you have to type your NIU and press “Enter”

and then you can personalise you profile, saying which languages you can offer and which you want to practice, what type of exchange you are looking for and when you are available, so that other members of the website can contact you.

Don’t miss the search tool that you will find marked “location” which is really useful for finding people for exchanges as close as possible to the place you would like to meet.

You only have to write the name of the place where you would like to meet, without any details of the exact address.

How can I find a language partner?

For each language, at tab 1. Languages, you can see the people who have signed up and contact those whose profile you are interested in.

At tab 3.Find exchanges, there is a list of the languages on offer: click on the one that interests you and type in a location where you would like to meet to practice.

You will find all the people who want to do an exchange in the language that you offer and the language you want to practice at the location you specified in your profile.

Can I do complementary activities and group activities on the campus?

Yes. There are regular activities programmed on the campus, such as films in original version or group conversations, which you can attend individually or with your language partner.

You can find all the information on the website at the “News” tab and also through the e-mail notifications that you will receive as a member of the programme community.

There is also an opportunity to chat on line with people who have signed up for the language you want to practice, either in groups or individually.

The Tandem Programme is an activity organised by the Participation area and the Language Service of the UAB.
