Barnsley Academy Pocketed Profile(BAPP)

BAPP is a personalized app tailored to your school timetable and profile. It will encompass a calendar containing your time table and upcoming dates and events. You will be able to change your lessons to your own sets and abilities. Barnsley Academy Pocketed Profile will be able to hold all of your daily routines and memos making it more of a school diary than an agenda which other apps have already covered. Our app will be completely different as it is for our very own school containing all of the students information.

Our logo is;Our logo was created by Natasha and Mr Allen on the software Adobe illustrator. “I wanted the logo to contain a part of all the houses in the school and also keep the blue theme as what I’ve created here.”

This chart clarifies that the most popular piece of technology within 15 people we asked was Android and Windows were surprisingly second. We know that if we add our app to the Android market, we would probably become more popular rather than adding it to Blackberry app store.

When we asked 10 pupils about downloading the app, the majority of them said yes but the controversy what occurred was that they wanted to try a demo before actually downloading the real deal. Most people would obviously prefer if the app was free as saving money is what everyone likes to do.

How much would you pay for an app?

Page 7: Presentation for bapp

A problem we had;

A problem that occurred was that if we were going to make our app free, we would have to make our money from something like; advertising other apps on our apps Selling the app Or creating other apps related to it

Page 8: Presentation for bapp

Our most common rating was 4-6 which isn’t much of a good score. Our second most common score was 7-9

which shows a good bunch of people would be interested in our app. We are hoping to improve our

results when/if we did develop the app.

Our banner consists of our logo which will be visible if the app does get developed. It also contains our logo, ‘Personalized just for you.’ which can also be used to advertise our app in future

references. Our banner is also colour co-ordinated with the blue, white and black theme.

Our business plan;

If we can see positive success ahead from this app then we will consider asking Mr Berry about possibly investing towards the app. The advantages in doing this will be; More recognition + success Possibly making money Putting it on our CV
