Isaiah
Isaiah was a prophet who lived in Kingdom of Judah.
•Isaiah prophesied of the life and mission of Jesus Christ
•The Lord made it possible for us to become clean and forgiven of our sins when we repent and keep His commandments.
•The Lord teaches His people the ways of righteousness in the house of the Lord (the temple). Receiving the ordinances of the temple and keeping the covenants we make there help us establish Zion and prepare to meet the Lord at His coming.
He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.
Before becoming a prophet, Amos was a sheep herder and a sycamore fig farmer.[1] Amos' prior professions and his claim "I am not a prophet nor a son of a prophet" (7:14) indicate that Amos was not from the school of prophets, which Amos claims makes him a true prophet. His prophetic career began in 750 BCE out of the town of Tekoa, in Judah, south of Jerusalem.t
