RECYCLING Access / Ma’en In collaboration with Acaeme

Global Citizenship Project

PROJECT BACKGROUND [Access ] in [Ma’en ] participated in a virtual exchange program hosted by Global Nomads Group. As part of the program, our school collaborated with [Academe ] in [USA] to develop solutions to the challenges our communities face.

We decided to address the problem of [Recycling ]. To do this, we created a [project format: campaign, documentary, etc….]

RECYCLING Our project is very important because people all the time burned trash and they don’t recycle it this mean pollution . We hope to find green community and breath clean air . In our project we try to solve part of the problem and we hope to continue .

PROCESSIn our project we make some changes because we faced some challenges , first we find an advisor in the center and she helped us and gave some information about the things that we will recycle . Then we start to encourage students and teacher to develop the habit of recycling , after that we Start our recycling by collecting cartoons , we decorated them and make them as recycle bins , then we arrange bin placement location in the center . We write on them cans , paper , glass .

We tried to find companies to collect the trash and recycle it but we couldn't find in Ma'en so we have a new idea we will recycle useful things for the children in the center , we enjoyed recycling we felt that we are doing something great .

CHALLENGES One of the challenges we faced is that we couldn’t find companies in Ma’en to collect the trash and recycle it .

We decided to do the recycling to help the children in the center by making things which are useful to them .

OUR COLLABORATIONWe tried to help our partners through answering some questions about refugees because we have more than 1000000 refugees here in Jordan .

Our partners have many ideas about recycling and they gave us some ideas .

FINAL REFLECTIONS We hope to continue this project with our center to help them to be healthier .

.The process was easy and the students enjoyed it .

We proud that we tried to help the children in the center and make them organized .
