The first thing that we see if the companies name that produced and distributed the film Universal and also their logo. This let the view know instantly what company is behind the film. The first scene we see a over the shoulder, medium shot of a Cuban man. The scene is shot in a police station while the man is getting interviewed. During this scene the first dialoged we hear is the man telling the police officer his name. Throughout we only ever see Tony’s face and none of the police men. This conveys that tony is a important character in this film.

The first thing that we see if the companies name that produced and distributed the film Universal and also their logo. This let the view know instantly what company is behind the film.

The first scene we see a over the shoulder, medium shot of a Cuban man. The scene is shot in a police station while the man is getting interviewed. During this scene the first dialoged we hear is the man telling the police officer his name. Throughout we only ever see Tony’s face and none of the police men. This conveys that tony is a important character in this film.

In this scene we get find out that the film is being shot in Miami and the year 1980, this is due to the voice over. During which we see a action clip of a riot happening, there is a metal fence with people attacking on one side and police on the other. This is a convention of a gangster movie as there is violence and weapons used.

This is a medium shot of tony, where we can begin to see more of his personality. He is wearing a gold chain, a unbuttoned shirt and a blazer. This shows that he has money and that he is a business wear due to him being smartly dressed.

In this scene we can see some people entering some kind of club or casino. This show that tony lives a stylist life, being able to afford luxury's like car and expensive outings.

It then jumps to him at maybe a hotel or apartment swimming pool. However he is not dressed for swimming showing us that he isn't their to relax but their for business due to his attire of a shirt and blazer. Throughout the trailer so far we haven't seen a long shot of tony but only mediums and close up. This is to keep the viewer focused one him, his thoughts and emotion.

We then see a women get into a lift, she is in a blue backless dress, this show her to be very seductive and elegant. She is shot from a low angel, this shows that she is important as she is higher up.

We again see another close up of tony with a gun to his face. This yet again informs up that that this is a gangster movie due to the use of guns. This also informs us now that tony is apart of the violence, informing us on the character more.

During this scene tony and his partner are walking though the same club that was saw shot earlier. Firstly this shows that this is a club that they go to a lot and might have something to do with. When walking though they shake hand with a man at the club, this shows us that tony is a respected man.

In the scene tony and his boys are in the club with cigars and champagne. This shows that these men have money to their name, and that they like to spend it. This scene is shot with them tree all in one frame informing us on their relationship and that they are working together and no against each other.

When ever we see the women, she is usually dressed in minimal clothing, portraying that women are seen as objects. These would also be for the male gaze.

In this scene we can see more on tony expensive objects, including his car. This is following the conventions of a gangster movie as it is likely for gangster to be portrayed as very flashy people, as they wanted to people to know that they have money. As they thought money equalled power.

In this scene they are dealing with money. i.e. counting it to see how much they have. This clip is a jump clip where we only see seconds of the money. This is to remind us of how much money these gangsters are getting out of their job.

The director have shot this scene in middle shot showing mostly their mid body. There are four guys in the shot, portraying that tony has got people working for him. We can see that he is a boss due to the fact that he is standing in front and the rest of the men are following him.

Hear we see the extent of Tony’s money and power, as he is in a marble pool with gold detailing. However it also show loneliness as he is sitting in a huge bath on he own, making the comparison significant.

During the end of the trailer is when their seems to be a appearance of violence and guns. This shows the viewers of the danger of being a gangster as during the rest of the trailer they mainly showed us about the money and girls that gangsters get and not the violence behind it.

In this scene tony is shooting a gun pointing directly at the scene. This makes the viewer feel as if they are getting shoot at. This makes the trailer a much more exciting experience as they are communicating with the viewers. This the clip that they end the trailer on, meaning that it remind the viewer of the character tony and who he is.

After the shoots it then come up with the name of the movie again. Informing and reminding the viewer of the name so they will remember it.

It then comes up with the mans name that plays the main character. In the same size and font as the title of the film. Showing us that he is a big importance to the film and that we should remember his name.
