Students can view the number of in-progress topics in each module. When all topics have been completed, checkmarks appear and the progress
bar indicates completion of the module:

In addition to the newly designed User Progress tool, instructors can now see a completion summary inline with each content topic in their course:

New Dropbox features include the ability to grade and leave feedback for students without submissions, the ability to restore deleted folders and the new “Due Date.”

A grade and feedback can now be posted in the dropbox for students without submissions. Previously this could only be posted in the grades tool.

The Dropbox event log allows instructors to restore a deleted Dropbox folder including its submissions and feedback. Rubric associations, Learning Objective associations and Release Conditions will
have to be manually reinstated.

A summary of topic activity data outlining the number of threads, posts and read status is now located to the right of a discussion topic with further details underneath.

You can use the Hide Topics option to collapse topics within a single forum or to hide all topics for all the forums at once.

Instructors can apply restrictions to posts at the forum level. In previous versions, this could only be done at topic level.

Several interface changes have brought ease to design and new features to several tools.
The Role Switch tool has moved from its former widget to the mini bar, making it accessible regardless of where you are in SLATE.

The User Progress tool now includes a summary page of student activity. By default the summary shows logins, content, objectives and grades. Discussions, Dropbox, Quizzes, Checklist and Surveys can appear in customized reports. In the previous version, a report had to be generated individually for each tool.

• The HTML editor has been redesigned to be more user friendly. It has better table functionality and switches easily between advanced and basic mode.
• The “Insert Stuff” tool has changed as well, now allowing for easier embedding.
