Story Ending
Done by Alan Cyborg
1. Moral lesson – proverb, idiom, saying / the main character learning a lesson/ turning over a
new leaf, change in attitude or action
a. E.g.
From that day onwards, Bob had stopped teasing everyone. It was as if he had
turned over a new leaf. He had learnt his lesson that faithful day.
2. Report of what happened in the end (crime related) – on newspaper, television, radio, or in
between people
a. E.g.
b. In the end, the road accident was published in a newspaper. It read, saying that both
drivers had died tragically and some pedestrians were injured due to the flying
debris.
3. Imagery – concept/ theme: e.g He was like an angel
a. From that day onwards, I looked to him like he was my guardian angel, protecting
me in times of distress.
4. Flashback – recollect memory, and then later fading off
a. E.g.
Those horrible memories were still stuck to me, however hard I tried to forget them.
5. Cliffhanger – a statement to suggest that there is more than meets the eye at the ending
6. Life continues – return back to planned routine
a. E.g.
Despite the near-death experience I faced, I decided to continue to take another
roller coaster
