It is also called as “golden mountain "and “honnasugur” the great saints/ sages performed theirmeditation over their , where it is called as “punnyabhumi”

By the blessing of parmatma he poured water over their by that holy water the local people s are growing crops like green rice, white rice, & red rice

The peoples of tirumala who have opposed the saints, by listening the miracles of sugur they visited and started performing the pooja over their by the sense of guilt even till today the family of tirumala only performing the pooja
