SWEPT AWAY

Serge and celine were husband and wife. They lived in the small town of lunel in southern france

Their house was invaded by flood water so they stepped out into the street. Celine stepped over a low hedge and fell into a manhole. Though serge tried to grab her hand. She swept away . So serge thought she was dead. Celine was swept along the drain. She managed to grasp a plastic pipe and tried to stop herself being swept further.

The fire man shone torches down the manhole. Celine saw light and shouted for help. But firemen couldn’t see her. She couldn’t hold on the pipe any longer.

She was again swept away through the tunnel. Suddenly she found that she was in the open air. She felt the she had come out From the drain. She dragged herself to her feet.

She was finally rescued by Jack poderoso, teacher. She had been under water for five hours. Really Celine was a very determined women.

Moral“A little more persistence, a little more effort, and what seemed hopeless failure may turn to glorious success.

SERGE “Come on we’ve got to get out of here now” “ She’s dead” he thought “ Help, help” he cried. “I’ve go to try to grab the pipe”

She had disappeared below the water. She was swallowing mouthfuls of filthy liquid.“ I’m going to die. I’m drowning. “ There’s no way I can survive this.” She was about ten metres from the manhole. “ I’ve got to try to grab that pipe” “ Help! Save me from drowing” “ I’ll never see her again” “I’ve got to be there for her. I’ve got to survive” She wouldn’t be there for Amandine’s twelfth birthday “ I’ m outside! “ I’ m outside! “ Yes, I’m here, I’m here” Have I been down here for five hours? “ Ring serge” she shouted “ Tell him I’m alive”“ When I want something, I’m very determined.” “ I wanted to be there for my daughter and for serge.”
