WOMEN IN REWA CITY.

WHAT IS FINANCIAL LITERACY ?

• A combination of awareness, knowledge, skill, attitude and behavior necessary to make sound financial decisions and ultimately achieve individual financial well being.

RATIONALE OF THE STUDY

The basic goal of this project is three folded: 1: To offer an overview of main issues related to financial education and women. 2:To highlight possible explanations and solutions, as well as programmes to address these. 3:Finally to identify priority areas for further relevant research. The research is also meant to be a starting point for collecting some further evidence for future researches in this area.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

1. To identify the overall financial goals andinvestment motivation and spending patterns.

2. To find out their involvement in investmentdecision making.

3. To determine the financial knowledge and literacylevel of working women.

4. To find out preferences of women variousinvestment avenues.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

• Collection of primary data through questionnaire.

• Sample area of the study.

• Sample size of the study.

• Data interpretation and analysis.

• Sampling

LIMITATION OF THE STUDY

• The study is limited to the age group of 30-45.

• Data will be collected amoung the working women in Rewa city, therefore the results cannot be generalized.

• Personal biasness.(Respondent may be biased).

• Time constraint.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTION

• The study would help to know the need or steps to be taken to improve or update the existing level of financial literacy.

• This kind of studies would help them to improvise in financial matters.

• This study will be helpful for enhancing the knowledge for our batch mates and joniers.
