Who is the most important person in the U.K.?Queen Elisabeth II is the longest sovreign of British History and started to reign in 1952. The second longest Queen was Victoria who reigned from 1837 to 1901.

The Royal FamilyThe Royal Family is loved by the British population and Prince William and Princess Kate are the most beloved.

British legendsBritish History is plenty of myths and legends, among them we remember the legend of Stonhenge and Lochness. Both the places are touristic attractions and many people go to visit them nowadays. Stonhenge is the most famous prehistoric site in the world.

British Economy

The U.K. economy is the ninth largest national economy in the World. The U.K. has been the fastest growing economy in the G7 for three consecutive years. In the 2014 the U.K. was the ninth largest exporter in the World and the fifth largest importer.

What is the currency?The currency is the British Pound.

Is the U.K. part of the European Union?The U.K is one of the twenty-eight member states of the E.U. but they still use their currency and they have subscribed special conditions regarding their economy.

The most outstanding figure of British literature is William Shakespeare

Pleasure and action make the hours seem short.

Why do British drive on the left?Its amazing when you go to London to see people driving on the left side of the road.Taking the left hand side in traffic is a habit that goes back hundreds of years, possibly as far as the ancient Greeks, Egyptians and Romans.
