The use of blogs and recording the process

I used the blog to help record the process of editing my film, allow all of my planning and research to be located in the same place and allowed me to reach these resources from home and at school which sped up the process of the hole thing and made it easier.

Using blogs also helped track everything and made it easier to access.

Digital Cameras

Digital cameras helped with the recording process as it allowed us to quickly take different angles and retakes if we need to. It also allowed us to quickly upload all of our footage to computers with the use of an SD card

We also used the camera to take shots of the location before the actual shoot so we could adjust anything we wanted and use them as references so we could plan out our shoot for efficiently and quickly to allow more time for perfection.

Editing

After this project I am now competent in using the editing program Premier Pro. I can add clips, delete clips, combine clips and sound clips, adjust opacity, volume, speed in which the clips show which I used for the slow motion shots, add transitions, add effects such as black and white, use colour correction, add title cards and other texts needed.

I feel confident that I could use this program again and use it quickly and efficiently .

Research

Programs I used for research were YouTube and Google.

The search engine google allowed me to quickly search for thriller conventions we could use in our shoot, inter textual references we could use and other things that were useful to the shoot over all.

YouTube was useful as it allowed me to research sound clips and music we could use for the shoot, over all I used a dramatic piece of music I found on YouTube and found a gun sound effect that fit the gun we used in the shoot.
