Duration: 2.37Genre: HorrorThe opening of the trailer is of a static TV.It then cuts to a shot of a trolley being pushed along a muggy floor. The shots within the trailer drag but are affective. There are cut shots and screams within the trailer. I feel that by doing this it makes the film more appealing, and puts more emphasis on the fear that is being portrayed. The static is also used throughout the trailer, and 19 seconds into the trailer we know why the static of a TV is used. The trailer cuts to a shot of several mini TV’s thus showing that the static TV has a meaning during the trailer.

Duration: 1:42Genre: HorrorDuring the opening scenes of the trailer, we as the audience see a metronome, which represents time and then there is a cut shot of a woman running, I feel that this is a good way to open the trailer as it is clear that the woman is running away from something. Also with the two shots together it shows me as a viewer that the woman doesn’t have much time, or her time is ‘Ticking’ away.

Duration: 1:43Genre: HorrorWithin the opening scenes of this trailer we see a camera, and there are click shots with the sounds of a camera taking a picture. There are flash cuts within the trailer and I feel that this does make the film more intriguing . The lighting within the trailer is dull. This is the appropriate lighting to use within a horror and I also feel that it will be easy to recreate. The flash cut shots are consistent throughout the trailer giving them a specific meaning to why they are used, I also feel that by using flash cut shots it doesn’t give a lot of the plot/story away.

Dark Heart Forever is a book I am currently reading and I have had some ideas from it. The main idea I have had from it is that a girl goes to sleep and has dreams, and if she is hurt, for example gets a cut on her arm, she will then wake up with the exact cut. I liked this idea as I thought it could be intriguing to my target audience.
