Model Name

I have chosen the model name ARROW because it sounds cool and also it connotates the idea that if you wear," Street Arrow ,” you will be as fast as an arrow – or maybe faster. Another reason why I chose this model name is because if you think of the word arrow you instantly get a sense of rapidness and the idea that you are aiming for only ONE thing. I believe I can create a good advert for this model of leisure shoe because when you think of the word ARROW you get some sort of visual imagery that pops up in your head.

Product Name choice

The product name I have chosen is streets Blade, I have chosen this name as it appeals to my target audiences' need to feel streetwise and confident within their style. Blade is a word with definition, and provides connotation of looking sharp and on point, which appeal to my demographic which are very style conscious individuals who want to look on point. Blade is a word which connotates an element of strength and ideologically being “cool,” is derived from having power and strength. Blades is also slang for trainers which portrays the product as streetwise, an important element that the target audience need. The combination of the words streets and Blade connotate being fresh and new as well as on top of the hierarchy. The streets are full of culture and character as is my target audience, therefore the products name reflects their needs.

Evaluation: I think my product's name is successful as it applies to my target audience's needs. It has the elements which attract them to a product and it is also a name which adapts to suit the wearer. Blade is bold with definition which is what my target audience are about, therefore it has an extreme appeal to them.

Target Audience

The target audience that I have chosen for this advertisement are young people (boys) aged between 13 to 19. My decision for choosing this target audience is that I already know what my target audience want as I am in that age group.

My Demographics for this advert is mainly students so they'll be around E or D which are unemployed, students, casual workers, semi-skilled or unskilled manual workers.

The Psychographics that I am going to choose are explorers because they seek discovery, energy, individualism and experience. They have the need for adventure which is what I want for my trainers. I want people to explore this new trainer and have an adventure with it.

Explorers also like to be first to try new brands. So, it's like the audience want to be the first people to get their hands on this amazing pair trainers. The needs of my target audience is that they have the need for prominence which is that that they want to be admired and to be respected; to have a high social status. They also have they need for attention which means that they want people to notice them like they want to be looked at. The last need that they want is the need to escape which means that they can imagine adventures that you may not have like the idea of escape is pleasurable.

How much you willing to pay for a trainer?

What colour do you want your trainers to be?

Do you want the logo to stand out?

The reason why I asked these questions is because I wanted to find out what features as well as factors my target audience look for in a trainer. The data has told me what pictures I will put in my advert as well as the connotations I should pitch.

Target Audience ProfileEvaluationMy target audience that I am appealing to are the dominant male market, since trainers have been largely advertised towards a male demographic it is a range I know well hence my decision of audience. 17-25 is an age which is considered young and free, a time for self discovery and being in ones prime. My trainer appeals to style conscious individuals wanting to try something new and fresh, and that age range is ideologically 17-25 year olds.

Evaluation of possible slogans and logos:Bow in the presence of greatness is my slogan, this slogan appeals to my target audience and demographic as it portrays the person wearing the trainers as having an element of greatness in terms of what they are wearing, and my target audience are very style driven and confident. It is also a Kanye west lyric, and as my target audience are very fashion and cultured conscious this will appeal to them, and provides an element of being streetwise.

Model – Yes/No

• I do not intend to use a model because I prefer to leave my advert on its own and put some effects to it using Photoshop.

Use of colour

• Possible use of colours are blue, white, black, green, red, and some colours on the darker and maybe some colours like red on the brighter coloured side. There will be NO pink colours because the colour pink is more girly and it will only be suitable or appeal to girls. I believe that it will attract my target audience - young people (boys) aged 13 to 19 – because boys usually prefer trainers that are stand out and also shoes that stand out amongst other trainers. The colours like blue, white, red etc stand out and make it more eye-catching.
