ANALYZE THE LEARNER• The students are third graders. There are 20 students total, with 12 being boys and 8 being

girls. 4 of the students are Latino, 6 are Italian, and 10 are Caucasian. They have little to no prior knowledge on the continents and their location. Their learning styles vary greatly with most learning more from doing an activity, while few of them learn efficiently from just listening. To verify their knowledge before hand I will ask them general questions to figure out where to start at.

OBJECTIVE• The students in the third grade class will identify and distinguish each continent by name and

location on a map, as well as some important characteristics about each continent. These important characteristics include bordering oceans and major landmarks found on each continent. Given a blank map of the world, each student must individually label the continents, oceans, and important landmarks on the map by the end of the week with 90% accuracy without assistance.
