• Higher education is important, and to and if you didn’t quite make the cut, don’t threat! It’s highly competitive out there!

• Thousands of students are rejected from their choices, and often it has little to do with ability, and lots to do with competition.

• Keep Calm – if your letter came through and you were not offered your placement, then keep calm.

• All is not lost, remain focused on what you want to do and get researching!

Contact Original Choices

• Contact Universities – get on the phone and find out exactly why you were rejected, look for improvement opportunities.

• Make Your Case – this is a great opprtuity to sell yourself further, make sure that you don’t miss this finite moment and grasp it with both hands

Positivity Prevails

• Be Positive – remain positive in your quest, do not give up and remain positive.

• Positive people achieve superior results, this is not a blow, this is an opportunity to prove your worth so go forth!

Be Prepared

• Pack Your Best Shirt – the clearing process will involve speaking with lots of university advisors, they will want to see grades and anything that you intend on using as leverage, you better have to hand. Don’t make any false statements, everything that you say needs to backed up with evidence!

• Time Is Of The Essence – Clearing is a mad dash scramble, and time is certainly an important factor. Get in quick and secure as many yes votes as you can, but of course, you don’t have to take your first choice!
