General Inspection of Site Good Poor

1. Excavations, adjacent areas, and protective systems inspected by a competent person daily before the start of work.

2. Competent person has the authority to remove employees from the excavation immediately.

3. Employees protected from loose rock or soil that could pose a hazard by falling or rolling into excavation.

4. Proper PPEs worn by all employees

5. Material and equipment set back at least 1.5 meter from the edge of excavation.

6. Adequate barricades provided all around the edge of excavation.

7. Walkways and bridges over excavation are equipped with standard guardrail and toe boards

8. Adequate signage provided for deep excavation.

9. Underground utilities are inspected by concern department.

10. Adequate access given every 7.5 m to the long excavation.

11. Employees protected from cave-ins when entering or exit the excavation.

12. Precaution taken to protect employees forms the accumulation of water.
