3. Womens Hockey History
- Womens hockey began around the 1800s. They were first seen
wearing long skirts, and using a puck and stick. As time passed,
they wore mens usual hockey gear. (Helmets, knee pads, shoulder
pads, etc) They werent as aggressive as they are, presently, but
they were very good players. They didnt play on the current ice
rinks we use today, but on frozen ponds during the winter.

Hockey team have great players. They have acquired many skills
throughout their regular training. (speed, agility, balance, and
accuracy) But, not all of the players are originated from Canada,
on the team. The most difficult teams, to Canada, include: Russia,
Sweden, and the United States. They have had many previous coaches,

9. Women Playing Hockey Pictures 10. Where its held
- This year, the womens hockey team is going to be held at the
Thunder Bird Stadium. Here are a few times and dates of when it
will take place:
- 1: Feb.13 th , at 5:00 PM-Womens Preliminary Round (Canada vs.
Slovakia)
- 2: Feb.15 th , at 2:30 PM-Womens Preliminary Round (Canada vs.
Switzerland)
- 3: Feb.17 th , at 2:30 PM-Womens Preliminary Round (Canada vs.
Sweden)
- * And, the womens gold medal game is on February 21 st , at
3:30 PM
These arent all of the games, played for Womens Hockey, we just
