Fun Facts• When William Shakespeare died he left his wife, Anne

Hathaway, his second best bed.

• ´I, William Shackspeare of Stratford-upon-Avon in the county of Warwick,... I give unto my wife my second best bed with the furniture.´

• Some people believe this is because Shakespeare did not love his wife, however others suggest it was because that was often a gift for a wife, and that this was the bed that they actually slept in, and the best bed was used by guests.

• In England a Poet called Carol Ann Duffy wrote a poem about his wife and the second best bed, the poem is called Anne Hathaway.
