1.Case Study – BRANDT Challenge & Solution• In 2013, BRANDT acquired Monterey Chemical Company, which

was a current ProcessPro client. At the time, BRANDT was operating on Macola ERP software. They quickly unified their business processes and began implementing ProcessPro Premier within its remaining facilities.BRANDT desired a fully integrated ERP solution that bolstered their growth initiative post-acquisition with robust manufacturing-specific functionality.

• The solution needed to manage their accounting and financial information and provide real-time and accurate inventory and production information, all of which Premier was, and still is, able to provide.

Results

Real-Time Inventory• With the use of ProcessPro’s real-time physical inventory solution, BRANDT

has been able to maintain accurate, manageable inventory levels, reducing waste and lag time. They have experienced improvement in operational efficiency through the use of AWS.NET for inventory transactions. Premier’s Inventory Control application simplified the inventory process, automatically tracking balances and lot numbers making it traceable in real-time. This fully integrated feature has produced the needed visibility that BRANDT previously lacked.

True Accounting Package• Combining a complete billing and accounts receivable system, including

accounts payable, and the ability to create checks, track credits, discounts, etc. provides BRANDT the capability to effectively manage its business expenses.

Page 7: k10715 ankit kr. verma (Case study)

Growth& Future Growth• BRANDT needed a software system that would be able to meet their long-term

requirements and grow with them, especially after the Monterey AgResources acquisition. ProcessPro offered a fully customizable ERP software system that could handle their current situation and the projected growth they were to experience.

Future• BRANDT anticipates further implementation of AWS.NET, providing them a

simplified interface that streamlines transactions, is flexible with label editing and customization, and further personalizes their user experience with handheld scanners. Also, BRANDT is exploring purchasing additional ProcessPro Premier’s BI Suite users, allowing them to quickly retrieve, analyze, and share critical information in its interactive dashboard; and further empowers the management team to make better-informed decisions with even greater control of their operations.

2.Precision Solutions Group’s CHALLENGE• A specialty chemical company’s expanding operations and

extensively-modified ERP system posed many challenges for them to maintain their enterprise IT infrastructure and integrate a business acquisition.

SOLUTION• Precision Solutions Group’s team of ERP and process

manufacturing experts enabled the specialty chemical company to receive extensive and effective support of its IT system as well as business and operational processes with just one vendor, from the company’s inception through its growth and acquisition stages.

RESULT• PSGi provided considerably more experience and effective business and operational support

than any traditional ERP software vendor, saving our customer significant time, money, and effort. With chemical industry roots that date back to 1910, this manufacturer produces and markets technologically-advanced specialty chemicals for a broad range of food and industrial applications, including beverages, cosmetics, toothpaste, household products, paint, tires, automobiles, aerospace, sports gear and many other uses. Its products play a variety of roles in things that are consumed and used every day, enabling them to last longer, look, smell, taste and perform better. The relationship between our companies began with enterprise software support. Prior to PSGi’s involvement, their internal IT resources were spending considerable time supporting internally developed applications and ERP modifications. The PSGi team features the original architects, developers, implementers and support personnel of the mission-critical IBM i-based ERP system they use, enabling PSGi to provide considerably more experience than the ERP vendor at a competitive price. PSGi offered two invaluable customer-support services – support for the standard ERP system and all modifications made to it, as well as additional business and operational consulting resources. With comprehensive support of their internally-developed applications and modified ERP system included in PSGi’s services, the company’s internal resources could be refocused on more strategic company activities.

3.Case Study – Hampford Research, Inc.

• Challenge • HRI was previously operating on a homegrown system that was difficult to

maintain and didn’t allow for any upgrades. With a lack of real-time data and complete visibility to all manufacturing operations, they weren’t able to judge on a daily basis what was happening within the company – everything from inventory status to warehouse management to simple financial reporting – there was always an information delay.

• Solution • HRI implemented ProcessPro Premier in 2011, a fully integrated and industry

specific ERP solution that seized the ability to grow along with their company. Approximately a year after their initial implementation, they added additional features, including Project Accounting, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), and Automated Warehouse Solution (AWS), to further streamline their processes and improve operational efficiencies

Page 11: k10715 ankit kr. verma (Case study)

Results

Real-Time Inventory • Unable to easily and efficiently track its inventory levels, HRI desired to maintain accurate

inventory levels in a real-time environment. Now with the ability to observe its manufacturing process across the board, HRI has access to live inventory updates and on-hand, allocated, and projected inventory levels by combining batch tickets, sales orders, purchase orders, and current inventory levels.

• Visibility Across Company • Each manufacturing department now has complete visibility of its partnering areas. By

sharing reports in ProcessPro’s Business Intelligence Suite (BI), team members are able to make informed business decisions regarding scheduling, lot tracking, inventory, and sales.

• Streamline Processes • HRI has been able to streamline their processes and reduce operational costs. They’ve

eliminated dual recording of a majority of their inventory transactions, cut down on paperwork clutter, and removed the frustration of delayed data at month’s end closeouts.

Page 12: k10715 ankit kr. verma (Case study)

Future

• Future • HRI is committed to continuing investment in ProcessPro Premier. HRI

anticipates that they will be implementing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to help them maintain adequate amounts of raw materials for scheduling timely batch production in the near future .

• Reporting and Data Analysis • Utilization of BI provides a familiar reporting environment that has

enabled HRI to retrieve, analyze, and share critical business information allowing them to make better informed, timelier, and knowledgeable business decisions. The interactive dashboard provides direct drill-down capabilities to transactions, the ability to export data to Microsoft® Excel, and allows for posting of informational reports to HRI’s entire organization.

4.Case Study – IRMCO

• Challenge • IRMCO was previously utilizing a discrete manufacturing ERP system. The

system was not a proper fit for their process manufacturing business and it wasn’t going to be supported in the future which compelled IRMCO to research a new ERP solution.

• Solution • While evaluating their previous ERP system, IRMCO decided to implement

ProcessPro Premier, a fully integrated and industry specific ERP solution that strongly matched their company’s business operations and objectives. ProcessPro has enabled IRMCO to eliminate manual errors, streamline their business processes, and focus on its core business activities with confidence that their decisions are based on accurate information.

Page 14: k10715 ankit kr. verma (Case study)

Results

• Real-Time Inventory • Unable to easily and efficiently track its inventory levels, IRMCO desired to maintain accurate

inventory levels in a real-time environment. ProcessPro has provided the ability to observe IRMCO’s manufacturing process across the board, they have access to live inventory updates and on-hand, allocated, and projected inventory levels by combining batch tickets, sales orders, purchase orders, and current inventory levels.

• Streamline Processes • IRMCO has been able to streamline their processes and reduce operational costs. They’ve

eliminated dual recording of a majority of their inventory transactions, cut down on paperwork clutter, and removed the frustration of delayed data at month’s end closeouts.

• User Friendly • ProcessPro provided a system that IRMCO could use out of the box without major

modifications. Initially they were also concerned on the “user friendly” capabilities of ProcessPro, as they kept in mind that their staff would need to adjust to the change. IRMCO’s staff has been pleased with the painless transition, accessibility of support staff, and the Doc’s on Disk series that allows a user to view solutions while working in the system.

Page 15: k10715 ankit kr. verma (Case study)

Future

• Future • While IRMCO is early in their implementation,

they’re already looking ahead to future integrations and investments with ProcessPro – Automated Warehouse Solution (AWS) to further streamline their processes, eliminate mistakes (including labeling errors), and improve operational efficiencies.
