Complement to dynamic thermal simulation softwares

Pressure coefficients on walls have to be assessed to compute the air change rate of buildings in complex urban area. Tables given as examples in Energy + (C.f. AIVC tables) shouldn’t be used by designers for any cases.

UW becomes a complement to dynamic thermal simulation software such as Design Builder, Virtual Environment, Pléiade, etc…

New porosity classification for trees and edges

UrbaWind 2.2 introduces differences between trees and edges to compute the  effects of vegetation on the wind pedestrian comfort

Meteodyn calibrated the various porosity models with available physical data: urban grove of trees, isolated trees, urban edges

Improved statistic tool for air change rate

UrbaWind 2.2 introduces a new module to assess the cross ventilation bycomputing the air change rate statistics of buildings

Select the time period (day, night, season, month,…)  and highlight the air change rate statistics on the period (average, minimum)

UrbaWind 2.2 introduces new features: New inlet profiles for turbulence (4 roughness classes) Pressure coefficient depends on the inlet wind profile deduced from the ground roughness Improvement of the visualisation of climatological data, of openings, of buildings (new lighting tools) New export tools for pictures and projects
